Spay/Neuters
Choosing to spay or neuter your pet is an important decision made by you, the pet owner(s).
For female patients, spaying helps to reduce the chance of cancer and infection, while also preventing unwanted pregnancies. For male patients, neutering helps to curb potential behavior (roaming, aggression, mounting, excessive barking) as your pet matures, as well as reducing the risk of cancer.
Dental Cleanings
Dogs’ and cats’ teeth build up tartar just like ours do. Annual dental cleanings remove tartar and help keep teeth healthy for as long as possible.
The bit of the tooth that we can see is only a third of the entire tooth, so dental radiographs let us see what is going on under the gumline to detect disease. Dental disease can predispose animals to several other health problems, such heart disease, so treatment including extractions may be necessary.
Tooth Extractions
Teeth that are unhealthy have the potential to cause pain and discomfort for your furry friend. It also predisposes them to infection. Extractions allow us to remove the problem tooth/teeth and prevent further discomfort.
Mass Removals
Some lumps and bumps need to be removed. These can be done in combination with another procedure if the mass is small or may be scheduled as a separate procedure.
Other Surgeries Available
Sometimes our pets need more extensive procedures.
If your pet may need a more extensive surgery, we will discuss all options to help you decide the best way to proceed.
